Two
by Two and More! is pleased to offer books on
Twin Relationships by Betty Jean Case. Betty Jean is a fraternal
twin, with twin brothers and twin grandsons. She has traveled widely,
speaking to Mothers of Twins Clubs as well as Twin Conventions. Having
grown up in a totally twin environment, Betty never questioned how
life as a twin might be different than that of a singleton until
the birth of twin grandsons. As she observed the comparisons being
made between them, she began to wonder if she had been compared as
a child, and if it had made a difference in her life. She searched
libraries to find out more about twins, but found little touching
on the psychological aspects of twinship. She created a questionnaire
dealing with Childhood, Parent/Child, and Adult Relationships and
sent it out to over 1,000 identical and fraternal twins of all ages.
Her books are a result of these questionnaires.
Betty Jean answers many twin-related questions in her books: We
Are Twins, But Who Am I?, Exploring Twin Relationships:
Is Being a Twin Always Fun? and Living Without
Your Twin. Betty Jean lets
twins express their true feelings about twinship; the joys and
the woes that can be a part of twin relationships. Her insightful
books give parents of twins rich advice on how to raise well-adjusted
twins.
A grandfather
from California writes, “You write from the
heart. Your books as a result, are loving, gentle, tender, warm,
compassionate and caring. Dozens of books on twins are informative,
intelligent, academic, rational, logical and erudite. They are
written only from the head; only yours are more.”
